Fixed-spool spinnining reel

Post by Sandfly »

I'm looking to buy an 'economy' fixed-spool spinning reel (as opposed to a beach-casting reel). I won't bore you with the reasons here, but suffice it to say it probably won't get a lot of hard work. Therefore, I don't want to spend a lot on it.

Any recommendations, please?

I agree, Penn used to do good stuff but since they got taken over a while back there have been a lot of problems. My mate bought a Penn FS a couple of years ago and it fell to bits within months.
