Daiwa Sealine x 20 sha

Post by boynsie »

hi all i am thinking of geting a daiwa sealine x 20 sha and just wonderd if they are any good i do alot of clean ground fishing for ray, bass etc and on occasions i fish for conger and huss would this reel cope with this type of fishing? also how well does it cast as i would like to be able to cast 200yds + without any trouble from the reel.
cheers boynsie

Hello Boynsie, all of the slosh range will handle rough ground and congers / huss. Although overkill on clean beaches, you could just put on lighter line for these.
Casting distance will be reduced because the reels are built for strength not speed, and rough ground line should be 20lb plus rather than the 12-15lb for clean beaches, so 200yards will not be a realistic distance, but if you're on rough ground the fish should be closer anyway. :D
Hope this helps.
