Best thing is to have a look at the artoffishing website and give Ben a call.
He has some very good kit at very good prices and is probably one of the most knowledgable lure angling shops on the UK mainland.
I,d also add Savage Gear xlnt rods and Abu Vendetta rods to your list to check out.
I use Berkley Series 1 IM7 rods for my plugging and Softies but thats because I use Baitcasting reels.
Welcome to the wierd world of artificial baits, but beware its highly addictive.

Hiya Keith, I,m still around, cows have calved and daughters wedding has happened, so I might get chance to get out to play in the sea soon rather playing in puddles.

Forgot to add to the lure rod list the Grauvel Teklons that Veals have. A very highly rated rod by those in the know, and very cheap for what it can do.

Also before you bend the plastic , have a look at mrfish.co.uk, a Jersey based shop with a very interesting blog and also the monstertackle.co.uk shop and blog.
