Is there a choice of buying a light spinning outfit whilst you are out there?

not too sure about that, i'm not having a lot of luck finding info about shore fishing/tackle shops out there, though it would be a far easier option.

I have the Daiwa Wilderness 6 piece travel spinning rod.
It can be either 9ft or 11ft.

The case it come in is 26 1/2 inchs long but the rod sections are 24 inches so if critical they can be carried in the cloth bag they sit in. I have a couple of bags that are just over 24 inches in their longest dimension.

The rod is rated at 20-60gm so useful for shore spinning.
