Daiwa Longbeam beach caster 14ft!! What do you have?

as i have covered in the title this is my new rod which has literaly just come!!

Getting this rod it set me wondering what rod do you use? is it any good?
Good and bad points?

Will be testing her out friday gorleston beach i think!!

Plan to head down about 5 ish maybe bit later and see how it goes if its fishing well i will stay as long as possible

I,ve got 2 of these rods and 2 Penn Surfmaster 850 reels, both via ebay last year.

rods very good; reels not so good

Good luck with them

hi guys i had two metalites but now i have two shakespear salt mx and i find the superb value for money, i paid 65 quid each but are in my veiw just as good as rods twice he price, cheers matt

I have heard one report of a longbeam breaking, but that was 3 years ago and nothing since so probably a one off. Although not top of the range Daiwa do give value for money and these are soft rods so you will load them up easily when casting. :D

Problem this end is that I have too many rods, come to think of it I have too many reels as well.
