give it a squirt of silicon polish and wipe it don't use oil as this will make it stick more i have a rod that is hard to pull apart so i whippet some thick cotton ether side of the joint so you get a better grip to pull it a part

i wouldnt use oil of any description on the unprotected area of the carbon fiber such as the joint as it causes all manner of problems, when you assemble your rod try not to push the two sections together too hard

what i do is when i get on to the beach or wereva ill go straight for the sea with my rod in 2 sections and give the spigot a good dip in the sea put the rod togeather and i never have a problem dont know if its just me and my dad that do this but it works a treat :D
