What you have to remember is a rod is just a way of getting the bait out to sea

A rod of between 10ft to 11ft should be ok for rock beach and pier fishing so long as you remember that for beach fishing you will not cast as far a a rod specially designed for the purpose.
Cheers keith :D :D :D

And we hope getting a fish back in . :D
If you are going to bottom fish off the rocks into the kelp i think the 60g rod will be far too light, but ok for spinning or float.
