Bawdsey

Post by Seasurfer »

Am going for the day tomorrow, and while talking with my tackle dealer, was directed the bawdsey. I have never fished it before and was wondering if there had been much action there recently, or if I would be better to stick to what I know and try Landguard...

Depends where you are going in Bawdsey. If you fish the estuary at the seaward end it is very snaggy, the ferry area is good, on the school side there are toilets & fresh water, good parking but the tide roars through, fish at either side of the slack, this way you will hold ok. I have not fished on the Southern side so I cannot comment on the area but I presume both sides of the river are the same regarding tidal runs, lure fishing may be you best bet.

Thanks osean. My tackle dealer also said about the ferry area, so I reckon that is where I would go. Thanks for your help!
