HAS ANYBODY FISHED SHINGLE ST RECENTLY ?, IF SO WHATS BEING CAUGHT ? ANY SOLE SHOWING?

I was at Saxmundham tacle shop yesterday, They said sole is being caught at the moment

Is Shingle Street sort of Dunwich way! sorry for ignorance, I like the idea of catching me a sole :D

smav,shingle street is east of woodbridge,but if you google map uk it will give u a better idea,good luck and enjoy

if you walk down from shingle street towards east lane just in the bay it was always good this time of year for bass and from sept onwards if you walk just on from the bay to opposit the martello tower it has always been good for whiting and cod.

hi luggy,small hooks i think less than a 1/0,but there is load of info on the site for sole,im more of a hit or miss fisher,as ive only recently took to bug up again after a 20 year gap.but good luck getting them sole

Fished Bawdsey last Sat night which is just down the coast from Shingle St. 2 of us had 10 codling, reasonable size but very lean and 1 sole. Used lug and rag. Fished from low tide up to an hour before high. All bites came after dark.
