Sea fishing near Glasgow - where to go?

Post by Fraziel » Sun Jun 23, 2013 4:03 pm

Hi,

I am just starting to fish as a newbie ,apart from a few unsuccessful outings as a young boy over 30 yrs ago, and wondered where the best spots are to go sea fishing near Glasgow. I like the idea of fishing for food so would love to try for mackerel, pollack, plaice and even bass if around.

As i am currently not driving it has to be somewhere i can get to by bus or train. Travel up to an hour each way is fine.

thanks for your help

Arrachar or anywhere along L och Long, Had some good catches there in the past, especially large conger from the submarine pens.
Cheers

Let us know if you get any of those proper scotch kippers - really scrummy imo.
