maccys are in .....well a few

Post by scottishcodhunter » Mon Jun 07, 2010 2:22 pm

was out most of the weekend ,having heard that the maccys are up in Peterhead ,they usually get here 10 days later ,
so I was out feathering to get a head start on filling the freezer before all the "maccy boys " were out (i dont enjoy maccy fishing ) It is still very early but I got a dozen but what suprised me was the amount of 1lb pollack i picked up around 40 all weekend (all were returned) and stories of bigger ones being caught further north , so the maccys will have to wait as I will be out chasing the bigger pollack this week ,

POLLACK

Post by CHED » Tue Jun 08, 2010 1:44 pm

Was out fishing for pollack at the weekend and caught 8, the biggest being around 7 pounds and the smallest around 3. Very good fight from them. Looking to catch some bass and mackerel next.

pollack give a good fight - even the small ones on light gear are good sport :D
