Finally got down the beach (Hayling)

Post by eccles » Thu Jun 25, 2015 3:19 pm

Having spent quite a bit of time this year doing up me bathroom and daughter's house, finally made the effort this morning. Bream hunting was the game with "iknowagoodplaice" but the fish were a bit reluctant. Eventually the aforesaid got three with two to take home but yours only managed the one little'un. Couple of other guys got one or two each and a gurnard but we have all seen better fishing in the past.

I'm assuming its pretty quiet at the moment with the lack of posts on here! I've not been at all this year (due to decorating too!!!!) but have a boat trip Saturday with the lads from work aboard Valkarie out of hayling, so hopefully we will find some fish. Also have Monday off was planning to do a bit off spinning see if any Mackeral or Bass are about.

Well done on the Bream at least you didn't blank, and always good to get out

Ah well Jack, bream have small gobs so one has to use small hooks and personally I use size 2 VMC 7240's. Not the cheapest by any means but they stay sharp and bright for much longer than the average hook.
