stokes bay

Post by nthendpompey »

fished along side the rescue boat station last nite.arrived at 9pm ,hw 2.30am
first cast had a doggie on a double lug bait.some nice lug dug by myself, but wasted on the doggie.had around half a dozen dogs, taking any bait that was put out there up to 12pm.then nothing packed in at 1am, but was good to get out.
today went to our local sports field who have just marked out the American football pitch.great to see how far you really can cast.as the markings are at 10yrds marked of at every yrd.full pitch is marked at 100yrds plus 10yrds at each end to the posts..cleared the pitch ,including posts and further.had a tape with me and measured a further 10.5yrds.chuffed with my lazy casting style.on the return into wind achieved 120yrds.if I put abit of umf into the cast would be .better.
stop casting when the general public turned up.
mick.

Not bad Mick! Best I've managed is 25 yds, with a slight tail wind >:)
