hit eastney beach this morning.to use up some left over bait.fishing by 6am,hw 6.50.stayed til 8.30.only had the one bite resulting in a plaice of 30cms,caught on size 2/0,baited with fresh limpet.just cant find the bigger ones .

At least you caught mick, had a go at hayling inn on the beach sat eve, had mrs and littlun with me and skies opened up, needless to say only managed couple of hrs fishing but glad to get a bait in the water.

Well done on the plaice mate. Do they stay around long down your way I'd only ever caught the one and that was at newquay.

only my third one caught this year along eastney ian.they do hang around for a while but to in great numbers ,a bit hit and miss with them at the moment

Nice going on the plaice, plenty of people try to catch them. But as you say very hit and miss especially Eastney. There is another opportunity to catch them at Lee-on-solent later in the year, my mate caught one in a club match at 2lb
