went into tightlines in totton today to get some bait... the owner said the parking has been taken over by a private firm that is using the CCTV cameras`s and not an attendant to catch people out.

Is that true and if so how much is the parking?
Like to fish the quay but wont if the charge is to much.Dont mind paying if money goes toward the up keep of a venue, but these firms are greedy and just TAKE TAKE TAKE.

Just bung on a couple of false number plates then take them off when you leave.

Is it a "parking charge" or a "fine". Only local authorities are legally entitled to "fine" you. If it is a "charge" and you consider it to be "unreasonable" you may be judged by the courts to be in the right. Lots of folk have done this and got away with it because it is only a "charge" and not always legally enforceable. There is lots of advice about this on the 'net so don't pay anything until you have checked your position.

It's entitled "Parking Charge" so thanks for the advice I'll appeal against the "reasonableness" and see if I can get away with it.
Many thanks for the advice but hope other forum users don't get in the same situation !
