Sea Fishing - Chessil Beach Trip, 18th may.

Post by geejay »

myself and dave fished,

22.00 - 08.00 approx ,

just one other light on the beach as we arrived, down at the oil tanks/ masonic c,p and he were leaving.

tides, neap, h/w about 0300-0400.

wind, southerly / s/s/e, moderate,

sea, a little choppy getting worse by morning.

baits, squid /macky/ sandeel/ crab, all froze.

rigs, flappers, with/without booms. pulley pennel . flowwing trace
hook sizes between 2's and 3/0.

caught , just doggies of various sizes ,dave out fished me by 4 -2.

i went chicken chucking for about 20 mins just after sun up but not a touch
rivetting conversation with dave + dense fog on the way home resulted in 3 wrong turns and detours via bridport and westbury, extra 40 mile Doh .
Geejayyy.

Nice report Geejayy. Sounds like a long night.

Given the location were you sheltered from the wind down there?

Was there much weed!!!
