Pagham Success

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well what can i say last night i could do no wrong

Last week i fished Lee on solent using peelers and squid-not even a sniff..

Then Monday night tried another venue near pagham same baits and this time used hardbacks too-again no fish or bites..

Sat at home yesterday after day with the kids and suddenly had the urge to use last bit of bait in the freezer--all i had left were 8 frozen peeler

Anyway after a few pleases and thankyou,s i was allowed out.

Arrived at venue at 9.30pm-knowing i only had 8 crab i waited...and waited..in the meantime a guy who was fishing from london came over to chat and also some drunk guy who actually did know his stuff and said he regulary fishes the beach..

Anyway 10.30pm and first bait out..no more than 5 min later and rod bent double--i can honestly say i have never felt such a powerful fish--they really go for it--seeing line being stripped off a reel on a beach at nite is weird--

Anyway i hope the pics do the fish justice all in all i had 7 takes and dropped one so i had 6 fish in total- i didnt weigh them as i have no scales but a bloke fishing near me weighed one of his (11lb 7oz) and at least two of mine were bigger so i knew i was well into doubles with some.

My fishing partner steve took the photos--i have tried to pick the best ones although David bailey he aint..haha

So 8 crab 7 takes and 6 fish--happy daze

All fish caught approx 80-100yds on frozen peeler.
