hi all going to give it a go at hurst shingle bank one night this week anyone had any luck on the shingle bank or the castle lately?

Tides have been way too big recently. I would check with local tackle shops before venturing out there. Not alot being caught at the moment in that area, apart from slugs and pout after dark. Rays and plaice have got to start sometime though!! I have fished the bank in horrendous weather before , no one else bothered, but i just had to get out- you know what i mean. I had to reel in after half an hour because of the weed and left my rig within five yards of the edge, i could clearly see my leader knot, and after an hour i pulled it in to find a double shot of keeper bass! I couldn't see the bites because of the wind clanging the rod around. So you never know........

ok thanks for the info. thinking of going tuesday night its a neap tide so should be ok just hope weed isnt a problem. i will let you know how i get on

fished about 200 yards along the shingle bank and not a bite. used 2 rods one in close the other out as far as i could get it but nothing not even a bite.
