Hello chaps,
Thinking about giving chesil a go this weekend, its been a few years since I was last down that way and have never tried it in the summer. is it worth a go this time of year and if so, what are the likely species to expect/target?? Any idea's of locations or dare I say 'hotspots'??
most interested in any area's which may produce bream or the odd trigger..
I'd be most appreciative for any info!!

Hi Steve,
If the weather is good then you will be lucky to find a space among the mackybashing/beachlittering mob. A good walk will be needed to get away from the crowds.
Bream are usually caught at the Ferrybridge and Cove end of the beach, triggers also are caught in these locations ( not heard of one yet this year )....but.... the cove is often full of divers and stone chuckers.
Fishing after dark is recommended.

hay mate i went down the portland last August nd had a few nice breans nd a nice trigger fish, i wasnt really fishing that far out either due to the head wind, was usuing rag nd frozen peeler
