South parade pier fishing report

Post by gnasher »

Spent 3 hours on south parade pier 2day.
caught............
35 mackerel.
5 bass.
1 garfish
1 weaver fish.
using feathers.
Kept what i wanted, gave some away and returned the remainder back to the sea.
Also yesterday I landed an 18inch mackerel weighing 2 pound :D
Hope you read this Jim LOL.

most of them are down deep ( well not showing on the surface anyway ) , alot of them are coming on the bottom feather of the string so i'd say 6ft something and deeper

Hi Jim. Yes only a few hardy souls on the pier this morning.

Mackerel are deep down. Most of mine were caught on the bottom 3 feathers. There are some big specimens around.

Garfish was also caught on bottom feather.

Various sized bass up to about 12". Once again a lot of undersized bass were being kept by the usual crowd.
