I went there last november, fished Abbotsbury end. All you have to do is park in the car park and walk up a wooden walkway straight to the beach. You can fish there or walk left (I think?) to some old tank traps (Big concrete things).

Its great fishing mate. Dont need to cast that far.

Anyways heres a link i found: http://www.weymouthangling.f9.co.uk/chesil.html

Good Luck.

the bit next to Portland is Chesil Cove

http://haddock-fishyfishy.blogspot.com/ ... -cove.html

can be productive and is a lot easier to walk to than other Chesil marks !
that shingle is a killer.

have a click around my blog for other local marks and a link to portlandjon's site for the island marks.

there is a free car park near the pub but at this time of year you should be able to find space on the lane up to the cove called Brandy Row
