im off to weymouth in a week for 7 days hoping to fish chesil near portland. never fished here before so can anyone give me any tips for the area.

I went there last november, fished Abbotsbury end. All you have to do is park in the car park and walk up a wooden walkway straight to the beach. You can fish there or walk left (I think?) to some old tank traps (Big concrete things).
Its great fishing mate. Dont need to cast that far.

the bit next to Portland is Chesil Cove

can be productive and is a lot easier to walk to than other Chesil marks !
that shingle is a killer.
