2lb 9oz whiting

i had a club match today the weather was really bad stromg north east winds i only had 7 flatties but my mate fishing the anyfish anywere match had a 2lb 9oz whiting thats a big fish two members had a bass each of 2lb 4oz and a 2lb 8oz

Not surprised at the whiting Roy but to get those bass when the water is still quite cold seems unusual.

we have been getting the odd bass all winter theres a fish monger who as a net on the shoreline got that much bass on friday in his net he had trouble getting his net clear before the tide came back in

a excellent shore caught whiting there roy,and also well done to you on the flatties.
you always seem to be able to find bass along your stretch of coast.
