HELP!! with lifejacket

Post by davcon4005 »

I have just purchased a 2nd hand/used lifejacket. the straps/fastenings are/were all wrong. I have tried setting them but I know they are wrong still.

If anyone can help me I would be most grateful. I am in Teesside but can travel within limits, I have a bus pass. I would prefer contact via e-mail.

Many thanks for any help.

If you know of anywhere who could help I would appreciate address.

In the boat fishing club I am in (Dymchurch and District Sea Angling Club), we have an annual Lifejacket Clinic when the RNLI come to the club one evening and check out everybody's lifejackets. You would be surprised how many are found to be faulty - even to brand new jackets having their gas cartridges missing! They do not charge for this service, although the club do support the RNLI via the competitions.

If you have no response re. your query, it might be worth trying your local RNLI, as I am sure that they would give you assistance. They are usually happy to assist in any safety matters.

Hope this is useful.
