Tips on targeting bass

Post by smallfry » Mon Apr 14, 2014 8:30 pm

Hi all
Haven't been out this year hence the lack of posts. I'm off to the caravan this Thursday for 10 days the fishing tackle is all clean and already there lol :D. Hopefully I should get a good couple of sessions in. Will report as and when I can. The thing is I have caught bass before but never consistently so any extra tips would be appreciated the rig I'd try is a single clip down with a 2/0 Aberdeen with either squid or frozen crab never sure on distance or anything else I'm missing. Lure fishing is out as the water is never rely clear enough.
Cheers Ian :D

its best to fish for bass from lowwater as the tide starts to come in cast really short the bass are really close in looking for sandeels
i use a two hook flapper rig with silver hooks size 2/0

the rig body about 18inches hook lengh about 6/7inches if there to long they can tangle also put some silver beads on your hook lenghs to make the bass think there sandeels
