fished the old diving board from 8oclock until 5pm loads of small stuff at first then a lot of really good bites,then in the last hr my rod got the best bite of the day i struck into a decent fish when landed it was a codling of 2lb 3oz :D really made the day worth while so im a happy bunny now with the first of my winter cod filleted and in the freezer,lets hope its the shape of things to come.

nice one, i'm out on the pier this weekend, was wondering about the fishies... if they are comming in to gateshead, then there must be some in the harbour

(he says almost believing himself ....lol)

hi graham according to last wks chronicle,the river is the best chance of gettin fish good luck on the pier though.

had no luck last sun. 1 codling on two rods and my mate got two flatties just on size. better luck on sat i hope

lets hope so i was gonna fish saturday too but with all the rain n snow i think there will be too much fresh water around so im gonna give it a miss ,shame though as the tides r spot on.
