I've had a pair of Daiwa neoprene chest waders for over 8 years, still going strong. Definatly better quality than the cheap brands.

Can't wear them, sweat like hell. Breathable chest waders for me every time.

There are a set of 4 or 5mm Ron Thomson neoprene chesties and a 5mm set of Koala neoprene chest waders hanging here

Like Keith, although my chest waders are invaluable to me & I'd be lost without them!, they cause me to sweat if the mark is a long trek etc

it's ok standing around actually fishing where they keep you warm & snug but not if you've sweated a lot on the way there.

I'll admit to have been wearing my wellies and bib & brace the last few outings, no good for wading of course but warm and breathable!

Cheers, Andy

Winter waders or summer? ........if winter get the 4-5 mm neoprene, if summer, get the breathable waders.......sometimes you need more than one tool to do the job...........

What's the verdict on the Leeda waders Beardedburglar?

What's the fit like?, different brands can be different sizes etc as you'll know....for example the Ron Thomson pair are a much 'neater' fit around the body than the Koala pair I have

The latter, while sound length wise have loads of room around the waist & upper torso!

Both have front chest pockets, although the RT pair's pocket has a drainage hole which a roll of bait elastic can fit through with ease so tends not to get used :-/
