Hi, can anyone tell me, if you dig Lug Worms up on the beach, how long will they keep for? :-/

Unless frozen less than 24 to 48hrs unless kept in a shallow tray of water in the fridge.

to keep them for any length of time you need to keep changing the water regularly. rem dont drown em just enough to keep em moist, always remove dead ones :D

i keep mine in a bucket in the shed only just covered in sea water change the water daily remove the dead ones and they keep for about 4 days now the hot weather is comming i hope it will probably be less good luck mate

You could try and gut them, wrap them up individually in newspaper and freeze them.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I think its all just pointing to using "freshly dug that day" or buying them from the bait shop.

if you have a few that are dead and a bit smelly dont chuck them they are good bait still especialy for flatties
