rod bags???

Post by jackdaniels » Sun May 24, 2015 10:33 am

Hi guys, iv been looking for a rod bag and can't seem to find what I need. I have 2 16 ft rods and 1 13 ft rod and a large rod rest. The longest rod is almost 6ft when taken apart.

Are there any larger rod bags on the market? And what ones are good?

thanks :)

Well there are plenty about, got mine from Amazon a while back but you can find them on ebay or veals too. Suggest you make sure the zips are brass or plastic because ordinary steel ones soon seize up in salt air. Better still, buy one that that doesn't have zips at all but ties up instead.

Hello again :)

I have been on ebay and amazon but they seem to be a bit on the small size as my rods are almost 6 ft plus iv got 3 of them and a rod rest.... I was just curious what others use as iv been juggling my rods, bag, rests, and all sorts for years! :)

Seems like Mustad do zipless jobbies but you will need to check length. Know what you mean about length, I eventually got my latest from an outfit called Koala but that was three years ago and can't recall where I got it from.
