Penn reels especially the 8,000 series haven't got a really good name. You may have been better with Diawa or Mitchell.

Cheers

i buy 2 new reals every year and i bought 2 of them in may and i think there really good they have a slow oscillation that lays your line so well and they have 10 stainless steel ball bearings im like eccles and only buy reels with plenty of bearings but some reels say 5 or 6 ball bearings but there noy metal but plastic and will mishape with time and the owner of a tackle shop showed me the plastic bearings so always make sure that the reel you buy as metal bearings
