Cheers for that. It looks good. Any idea of the best places to get one, and at the best price of course?

there is a couple on ebay and spottydog tackle have them as well.
Just remember that the MTI is quite heavy compared to the Ian Golds ones.
Pricewise i have searched around the net and including postage they are all around 50-55 quid.
The Ian Golds ones are on ebay as well and for a telescopic one (36-72 inches) is around 35 including postage.
You can also get them at veals online shop

hi ya,

I use the Ian Golds Match tripod, that would come in just under your price

range and is a very good bit of kit,

My mate has recently bought a Bison Tripod, this comes in a carry bag and

is a bit heavier than the Ian Golds but is very useful as the legs can be

adjusted individually.

There is also one that I have seen a lot of people using of late, its blue in

colour and I think produced by Shakespeare which would suggest it to

be a reasonable price too,

I've seen that blue one Tim. Its a bit too much for much for my price range, as I'm a tight git. And as I'm a Norwich fan, I really couldn't possibly entertain the idea of buying anything blue. :) :)

Hi mate, get yourself an Ian Golds tripod. Brilliant, light as a feather, tough as old boots. I've had mine for longer than I care to remember. Never let me down.

Apologies kevmann.........

I have moved this post to the General Forum as it is not a Thames related fishing post and I believe you will benefit from a more productive response here in the General Forum.

Cheers macer :D
