Good news that i figured i'd share with the sea angling world too.

As many of you know im a coarse match angler mainly and i've been trying to progress to a low level sponsorship. I started fishing for a small club which i am now captain of but i have now just been taken on by a larger team called Grey's South Moor.

this club has just managed to get backing from Grey's meaning i will be getting trade priced tackle. im not 100% sure what i can buy at trade price but im well happy about it.

saying this in the coarse angling world greys are a small company but with backing from them hopefully i'll be onto daiwa next

right im done bragging, trhow your stones now

i do a lot of sea fishing, and buy all my gear at trade price, i buy nothing but daiwa gear, does this mean they sponser me??? :lol:

ah well im not a great fan of fluff chucking anymore but yeah there gear seems quality stuff for coarse angling. i just need them to make 16metres of carbon fibre now

I phoned Titan, asked how to reproof their 'dryest gear on the beach'. Well, that didn't go down very well at all, so i asked if they'd sponsor me. They said they'd never heard of me, so I cut their name off all me kit. Next, I'm going to paint over the decals of anyone else who hasn't heard of me. Anyone got a massive bucket of paint? MK

lol that probably wasnt the best way about going abotu a sponsorship then

to be honest you have to work very hard and frame regularly in matches to make it, in sea angling this is almost impossible due to the fact beach pegs vary so much! its hard to consistently win.

but if your looking for sponsorship write up an angling cv and send it to as many companies as you can, telling them your achievements and how you will help them
