Do you keep a Sea fishing Diary / Log????

Post by rrjezuz »

Being a recently returned angler i am on a very steep learning curve, so i have started to keep a Diary of my fishing trips to highlight what i am doing right/wrong. Jotting down such info as: weather,Tidal states, rigs, baits and of course fish caught! does anybody else keep a diary? does anyone know of decent Database that is availabe? I am going to have a go at making my own Database but a ready made one would be easier

I think a fishing Diary is a really great idea if you keep adding to it but I have known many anglers start them but dont have the discipline to keep them going.............including me to be honest

Hi Bob

Keeping a diary ios an excellent idea. When I re-started fishing I had all intentions of loggin places, tides, times, weather, baits, rigs, fish caught, rocks caught, colds caught but it went out of my head and you have just reminded me. I will start this soon but probably just keep a log on my home pc (probably in word). If you find some info of a better place let me know mate.

Cheers
Mog

Mog
paul sent me a link to a free 30 day trial program that seems ok. but i prefer something a bit more user friendly so i am going to have a bash at making one myself on access, it should be ready in about 2021 ill put your grandchildren on the list for the first copies
