Fish Identity

Post by Shopkeeper »

Hi

Just joined to see if anyone could help in identifying a fish found on a Cornish beach. Now I've joined I can't see how to add a photo - anyone able to help?

Welcome to the site :)

Try uploading it through photobucket.com and get the link from there and copy and paste it to your post.

Thanks 4CodSake - just found the "how to show pics" sticky.

Here it is hopefully.

Thought it looked at bit John Dory with a make-over.

Many thanks MJB.

Thought it was a bit of a rarity but having looked at the British Marine Life Study Society website maybe not so. I'll also have a chat with some of our local fishermen.

Thanks again for the swift reply.

Ive heard that the trigger fish had come in from America I think it was, and they are commonly found near piers where it is warm for them.
Prob no help now, but ive heard they are a great fight.
