I've had mine for about 18 months and haven't had any problems with it, although I do always weigh it down with a bag of sand/stones to make it more stable (better that than have to re-ring a rod !).

Just to bump this up a bit, I can do either 9/10/23(at a push as I'm on nights 22) and 30/31.

I've got a few days off in the week in Jan but no car as Mrs Stinky starts a new job.

Stick with it, loads of us are having a poor/crap winter. It will get better and hopefully the weed will go soon

I got a a subscription to Sea Angler magazine, a flask (my old one used to go cold within 2hrs of being on the beach !), a Coleman lamp and more thick socks

Hopefully I'll be let out of the house now to use them !
