Something similar happens on a regular basis on the East Pier at Newhaven. People take a crate or two of beer and leave the emtpy cans in a pot hole as well as their tackle. I mean, They carry say 3kg of juice there and cant take say 1/2 kilo if that back with them? makes no sense... This is one of ...

I use a simple, fold-flat cylinder net trap. You can find them on ebay, or I asked my local tackle shop to get a couple in for me. Leave a bait net/trap in soak over night with mackerel carcass/fillets.

Scad, Herring family if that counts :D
I caught 2 in a mackerel shoal but they endangered or at risk of dying out so I dare not upset anyone by keeping them and using them for bait.
