yes mate i agree with above post a fast wind for the bass and i find if you miss a take then wind even faster it often entices them to hit again

wrong time of year in my opinion mate i do alot of lure fishing on hayling and portsmouth beaches and have very little to no success this time of year wait for the warmer months and chuck a bass wedge out as they are good for bass and mackies wen there in

just had 2 weeks on holiday in the canarys thought id take the fly gear with me only got 3 sessions in over there 1st trip i caught 2 small mullety looking things on second trip i kept hooking into fish to have them bitten off again but as i had my pike fly box with me 1 still had the steel trace on...

anybody going to be fishing clarence beach or wall this friday i was thinking of having another session down the wall but tempted to try the beach the other side of the pier not to sure yet

Thanks for the info,quite a rare fish to catch i think but they are supposed to fight hard. Yes i will be trying the fly but i think it may be a bit too late in the season especially after the northerlies we have had recently. are you thinking about catching them on the fly si ? if so try wading as far out as you can next to south parade pier at dusk or if you have a boat try a late high water and fish around langstone bridge but theres not so many showing there this year for some reason

the night before there was an open air rave held by the club night contact that was probably the after party so to speak sounds like thats the place we normaly go to when the raves finished or if the police shut us down early

very nice mate were you catch them from then i do a fair bit of carping on the fly its mental when you get a 10+ carp on a fly rod but i would really recomend pike on the fly

ive already tied enough flies to last a life time, i done it playing football i was running along and my foot went down a rabbit hole and made a nasty snapping noise. and cheeres mick nice to no my missfortune has a possitive affect on others lol
