hi, and welome taff. i was in exactly the same boat (excuse the pun) as you, this time last year. my advice would be to firstly buy some pre made rigs of the style you intend to use.. probably starting with a simple two hook flapper, then copying it. ask around and read up on different types ad uses...

incidentally, everyone pulls thier hair out over this debate.... but why only over wd40, it mst have started as a rumour or marketing ploy as no one bangs on about gt85 and thats baisically the same stuff???isnt it???

apparently the main constituent part of wd40 is fish oil. it is believed that the scent given off by the oil can attract fish, an can therefore be used as an additional attractant........ how much of this is true, made up or hearsay?.i dont know... i get mine from the likes of home bargains or b&m if you haven't got them down your way, they are not as cheep as pound shops but low priced goods of reasonable quality. they are sylicone type discs bit like plastic round tea bgs but bigger. simply crack a piece of metal in them and they crystalise ...

was out on south shields pier over high water on sat gone... plenty sport, with rock ling, flatties, coalies and cod (which had a whole sandeel in its stomach, ... free bait....lol).

good fun and alovely calm clear nigh...even saw a few shooting stars

on the road again

well i'm finally up and runig with my car again so i can get about a bit more. can anyone suggest some decent marks for me, within about an hours drive of me, (nearest mark at the moment is seaton sluice/blyth). anything thats looking productive or where theres something different to target.. cheers...
