nice one, i'm out on the pier this weekend, was wondering about the fishies... if they are comming in to gateshead, then there must be some in the harbour

i'm a big fan of the F/S and have had no issues fishing off south shields pier and beaches. if you are going to use a multi then its definately worth forking out that extra few quid for a decent one. for casting lessons, if you are local, i believe Terry Wood i 'Reelsport' on Dean rd, South Shields,...

out of interest, i know a few of you are from up here, but who regularly fish from yhe tyne up to blyth(ish).

most of the posts seem to be from around spurn.

and incidentally, is spurn a great deal better than anywher else in the north east
