experimentation

i had a bit experiment with the winkles last night and its a bit inconclusive as o bait was particularly working...one little codling and one little rock ling. but i think the ground baiting on wed might have been part of the posetive out come of an onsize flatty/onsize cod double shot, and a few un...

i use a similar principle to andy.i go for about 2 1/2 rod lengths (dont forget to take into consideration the size of your spool) as i'm about 5'8", if i'm using my 13' rod, thats roughly six outsretched arms. the other way, is simply to tie your leader on, leaving it on the spool, then reel it in ...

i was ot yesterday twice, on both occasions my beade rigs were doing the job compared to the plain ones. admitedly only 5 onsize flounder betwee two of us, but still fairly representetive !

oh and a little blu/white muppet with a small worm was proving quite popular to the small stuff.

i rekon that'll work a treat if i'm on the beach or up river a bit, cos of the way my mark exposes over low water, but i'm thinking of fishing into deeper low tide water.

groundbaiting

Due to the fact that theres only 3 decent fish left in the north sea, i'm thinking about upping the anti through the use of ground bait, into the tyne harbour. my initial idea is to use a cage (filed with mushy baits, mabe some frozen makerel or even some tinned fish) as a weight on the end of my ri...
