conni, thats the best part about running the trawler lol, 45 ton of steel sits in the water and hardly moves lol, i saw ed's report and was thinking of hitting the oj maself, hope to see u out there soon mate

i too do the exact same, except my hooks are far smaller (hence mre whiting than gold)

ill try 4/0's and see what happens,

do u tip ur lug? i sometimes use three lug and a squid head on a pennell but all i seem to catch is whiting

nice, my last session saw plump 1lb whiting there, but i want cod,

fished the stem of the oj yesterday, just the three of us were there, in all we managed 20 sizable whiting 5 of which was well over a pound, a nice pouting and a dab, all was taken on lugworm tipped with fish on size 2/0 vikings on a running ledger rig, i had one rod with 4/0 pennel and whole squid ...
