with good tides coming up & hopefully no snow I thought I might drown a few worms over the Easter period.

Has anyone any information about how Southend beaches are fishing at the moment

Ocean Beach 20/11

Had promised my boys an evening fishing now the night's are drawing in so I called in to Jetty Anglers to buy some bait only to find that he only had one pack of lug left. So I grabbed my fork and headed over the road to dig my own. Two hours later I managed to get about 20 worms, mostly lug with so...

Thorpe Bay 30th Oct

Being optomistic I headed down to Uncle Tom's Cabin this morning with some freshly dug rag & lug, and some frozen squid.

three rods at different distances with every imagnable combination of baits resulted in nothing, not even a bite!!!!!!!

that's why they call fishing - not catching :D

Thorpe Bay - daylight fishing

Have seen lots of reports with good catches off Thorpe Bay on evening/night tides.

Have had enough of decotating house & in need of having some time drowning worms. Tides dictate daytime fishing fri/sat- anyone had good reports from dayight trips?

different approach to the Thames

Always thought either of these approaches may be worth trying but never got around to it. Very different conditions either side of the pier the mud flats ...

As the wife was at work all day I thought I'd take advantage of being unsupervised & head for the beach. Managed to dig 30 or so king rag & headed for Thorpe Bay opposite Roslin Hotel with my youngest lad. He managed to cast about 8 - 10 yards but within seconds had a cracking bite and brought in a ...
