Was hoping to be transferred to the Southwest with work and have been kept waiting for the confirmation from work for 2 months. Well I got the answer from work - and as I guess you worked out things didnt go to plan... Firstly, they told me the position I had been pencilled in for was no longer avai...

Relocating in the West

Due to work, I may be relocating to the West (covering a work area that includes South Wales and the South West. Need to consider renting a cheap 2 bedroom house within 1 hour of Bristol where the office is based. As I live by the sea here in the Southeast (300 yrds) I really do not want to give up ...

Where to move to???

Been offered a chance to relocate to the Southwest with work - will mean moving and as I currently live close to the sea in the Southeast, which enables me to regularly fish, I am keen to find somewhere either in North Devon, Bristol Channel or Dorset to rent - will be covering the whole area so can...

Shellness 27 May - Report

After yesterday at Leysdown, had enough bait for a trip to Shellness, Isle of Sheppey for the 5.06am HT. Set up for 3am and fished through to 6am. Not even the crabs were taking the bait. But it was a beautiful sunrise and a very relaxing time so worth the trip.

Fished Leysdown beach from 1400hrs thru to 1800 hrs - HT 1640hrs. Light breeze with an on shore wind. Nothing really biting - Had 2 small eels - returned safely to the water after they snotted all over my towel and fleece. Pleasent afternoon fishing and enough bait to go and fish Shellness for the d...

Leysdown, Isle of Sheppey Sunday 20th May Report

Only a short session on Leysdown beach from 11am until 2pm (HT 1316 hrs) plenty of white horse on the sea - sadly no fish for me. Another angler further up the beach said he had caught a skoolie bass and 4 eels. My day was made worse by breaking my brand new rod - see my other post "We all make mist...

We all make mistakes...

Today was the first time I have been fishing this year due to illness and an operation, so it was with some excitement I set off for Leysdown to fish with a brand new rod I received from the wife as a Christmas present. It wasn't exactly an unknown quantity as I already own a Shakespear Salt MX and ...

I think they call thats "Sod's law". LOL. Nice to see someone getting out and a post on here - been really quiet lately. Not been out myself because of recovering from an operation, too much work, bad weather and a whole host of other reasons - none of which really justifies not getting off my arse ...
