chapel/ skegness next week

Hi all off the caravan next week hopefully should get to wet a line the tides look favorable and the winds should have stirred things up. If anyone is around let me know and possibly meet up. Will post when I've got out .

chapel point success last night

Fished last night from 7 till 11:30 high tide was 12:45. Bait was dirty squid and oil preserved black lug brought from a guy who sells bait from his house opposite the car park. Thanks for the advice Roy
I'm back there for another week from Friday ,how do you get live shrimp and how do you present them and cast them ? especially with chapel being a shallow beach.

Fished chapel point last Saturday night 8:30 pm till 12:15 high tide 1 am Sunday packed in early due to incoming thunder and lightning storm . bait was frozen black lug and dirty squid fished at different distance trying to find the fish, managed to get 6 flatties 2 nice sized ones others only palme...

Hi all
Finally getting away for a few days haven't had chance to wet a line for months due to work
Anyway going to the van tomorrow hopefully will get out Sunday morning does anybody know if there is much happening?

Thanks for all the replies but I've googled pictures of both species and it doesn't look like either of them as it doesn't have the lateral lines, also I thought both species inhabit rocky shores and trunch lane is flat and sandy that's what's thrown me. Thanks again

Hi all sorry about the late report better late than never ;) lol, anyway change of plan and venue, Friday morning was calm foggy and damp, so I thought I'd chance it high tide 3:51 pm, started fishing about 1 and finished 615, fished 2 rods 1 with 3 hook flapper size 1hooks the other 4/0 clipped pen...

the wind changed and dropped so a quick trip to the tackle shop for the usual bait squid and blacks high tide was 1am arrived on the beach at 8:30 no one in sight. scaled down rigs size one 2hook flapper and 2/0 pennel. first cast a nice sized flounder on the flapper to black. then it went dead for ...

unlucky with losing the bass roy but wel done with the flatties. if the wind changes round i might be able to get out with a chance.
