Looking for a few decent spinning marks for bass

I have a friend Visiting next week from Wales and he wants me to take him fishing. Can anybody reccomend any good Marks for a bit of spinning/Pluging for Bass? Preferably in South Devon, South Hams area? Most of the places I try are Blanktastic so anywhere where we will be in with a good shout of br...

Cheers for that. I'll let you know if I get anything.
FYI
Found out mullet are a very slow growing fish that only spawn after 10 years or there abouts so will be returning any I catch

I got sucked into buying some to keep in my tackle box to use when I didn't have any fresh bait. Complete waste of money. the eels will work if used in the same way as a jelly lure but they aren't any better

Catching Mullet tips/advice needed

I'm seeing lots of Mullet turning up in my local river and was wondering the best way to go about catching them? I've heard their good sport but never targeted them before so whats the best method? baits etc? I've been told to use very small hooks (size?) and compressed bread (white?) on a float is ...

Not sure whereabouts your thinking of or what you can manage but if your in south devon you could checkout Brixham Breakwater or Berry Head head (also at Brixham) has a disabled car park down by the 'platform'. Slapton has good parking straight onto the beach as does Blackpool Sands. princess pier i...

I'm always trying to get more info on this area. The locals catch loads but are quite tight lipped about where/when/how. I go from the Bantham side of the estuary but do find it hit and miss. The fish are there though and if you get down early in the morning or late evening you'll see quite a few ju...

Long Marsh is the park/path that runs along the river on the dartcruise side of the river further down from the island. I know you get mullet that far up but wasn't sure about other species

Anybody know much about whats in the river dart?

yestarday I was watching some small fish jumping in the river near longmarsh (totnes). At first I was assuming they were feeding but I couldn't see any flies buzzing near the surface so it may be they were trying to avoid predatory fish. Its far up river but the water is brackish and still tidal. I'...

Hopes Nose Report (and rant)

Well springs arrived :) but so have the chavanglers :-S Went down Hopes Nose on Friday night loads of baby pollock being caught on feathers but no keepers. Tried fishing on lures and float for bigger fish but no luck. Hopes Nose was pristine and it was a real pleasure to be out at this mark as the s...

Hopes Nose - Nothing to report

Thought I'd give hopes nose a go over the weekend. Complete blank. Spoke to one guy who says they were catching Mackeral last Thursday but apparentley the water is 4 degrees colder than this time last year so best to wait a month if your thinking of going out there. There was a fishing boat a few hu...

Any Mackerel about yet?

Does anybody Know if the Mackerel have started to turn up yet? Is anywhere fishing well around Torbay at the moment? Seen an awful lot of bored fishermen around Slapton the last few weeks. Given the lack of catch reports recently I'm guessing no

Most tackle shops will give you good advice on what will suit your needs. Generaly for spinning you won't want anything too heavy just something that can chuck a couple of ounces max and whatver size feels good for you, I use an 11.5 ft bass rod but 10 ft is a good size for a spinning rod. A fixed s...
