Hi Phil. spurn is an all round fishing mark as i have had some good fishing from low to high and back down again. The smaller tides are better as there is a strong drag to the river mouth on big tides.hope this helps any more info i can help you with just drop me a message or roy boy as he knows spu...

along the spurn road most people will mention the marks by the numbered telephone poles. you can see these numbers on the poles as you drive along.
be carefull on the big tides as there is a strong drag to the river and if there is a southerly wind then there is usualy a lot of nasty weed.

i look forward to the day we meet as roy can chuck a lead out a long way but 200 yard (180 meeters} thats a good effort. will look forward to watch how you do this ?

if your in you usual spot roy than thats quite normal. all last year they were olny 30 -40 yards out and on the river side ive seen them leeping on the waters edge.

pete you are not the first person ROY has helped nor will you be the last. he has taught me so much over the last few years including bait digging.

have fished spurn many times and tried lots of combinations of bait but the one that i find the best is Lug Worm as its the natural food for the area. best results is for Bass in the summer you just have to find the right spot.
