The mags brakes' stop birdsnests at the start of the cast when the reel can run faster than the line coming off. That applys to all braking systems and multi reels

Dont see owt wrong with a full turn to engage bailarm! stops it closing mid cast. I prefur a bailarm that locks open and that I have to shut by hand for that reason. Dont find any diff between multi or f/s although the multi may be abit smoother. I mainly use multi's but if needs arise will use f/s....

Also it helps to stop weed sticking on the Knot. I use Ultima find Drennan to hard and frays easy Had to change after 2 trips over sand

Yes the cod are there mainly small, but a 16lb'r came out last week. Also plenty of whiting about. Bait lug tipped with fish or squid

Hi went fishing 2day wind and rain. Anyway just winding up a big cast got hit by a wave thumb slipped. One hell of a birdsnest. Used method shown in vidio about one min the whole lot sorted, would have took forever to pick out. SO YES IT WORKS :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
