I agree with you storm cast where the fish are. But learn to cast 150yrd should be far enough. Another string to the bow and all that. It is a fact that the bigger fish tend to stay further out so fish 2 rods 1 long 1 close in the gullys

Take a tip from the flyfishers use a bass bag. One of the hessian bags from Tesco will do good from peirs. How to use, soak the bag in water, put fish in as the water evaporates it chills the fish. Just remember to keep checking and re-wetting the bag as it drys. Will keep fish fresh all day whateve...

Hi mate you should catch in the gully on the glynn and thats only about 40yrds out. look for gullys at low water and cast to them thats where most of the fish will be. Be it 40yrd 100yrd or 150yrds

All I can say is small hooks will catch big fish. But big hooks will not catch small fish. So it depends if you want to catch all that swims or just big ones.
