I spray painted a small boat(12") once with automotive 2K paint. This did work but required rubbing down with waterpaper and applying a special fiberglass primer that sticks to GRP. Key point here is that once you go down this route one can never get the boat back to gel coat (coloured polyester res...

The replies I got indicated that there are different techniques for different area's and that local knowledge is best. ...

Suntan Lotion and Bait preparation

Equally good advise for both shore and boat fishing and something I've learnt the hard way. Always make sure your hands are really clean of any suntan lotion when putting the bait on, even the smallest of residue can spook fish. Better still let your 20 year old mistress do the applying of any lotio...

3miles off Newhaven today (22 March)

Hi All Just an update from todays fishing. This was very easy to find and showed up on the fish finder quite well. If anyone is lo...

Hey Tomcat Thank, This is really helpful. I've had a hook in the shoulder from a careless caster on a pier before and don't wish that on any fellow. There are 3 wrecks within a 5mile radius so hopeful I'll find one unoccupied. So first on the mark is the owner however probabaly not a good Idea to up...

Are there any rule to be observed around the wreck or is it just a free for all? Did you lose a lot of tackel because they drift over the...
