Hi mate, coombe point is to the left of the holiday park. If you drive down shakespeare farm rd about a mile before the vilage, you can only drive so far then its a 15 min walk. Try coombe point near allhallows mate.
Their not specimens as such but we had several last year to 4lb down there.
Out in the middle of nowhere too

good advise eccles about the bait lift rigs. we do make these rigs, my mate uses them all the time. i prefer not to though as you get the occasional sole in the river so i would r ather fish hard on the bottom. because of the depth of the river at distance most of the time the top hook is off the bo...

hi steve. good size whiting in the river this year thats for sure.
i was at the R R D.
went last week down there as well with similar results including 5 nice pouting. much less snaggy, virtually snag free. same prob with crabs though lol.
planning on getting down there again this weekend or next

the medway yeasterday

had a few hours at my new favourite spot in the river yesterday.
used lug cast at distance on flapper rigs.
had about 25 whiting , all keepers bar 1.
defo a better stamp of whiting this year.

the thames and medway are certainly alive with bass this year.
have taken several up to 4lb meself recently around grain.

never known it to be so good, certainly cant complain thats for sure

at least you had a go mate. feels good to get fishing again i bet. i went to st marys with my brother again yesterday and we had 9 bass to 2 and half pound along with an eel and flounder. i caught most om my carp rod as there is no tidal run there and you can fish light. exellent sport on light gear.

thought we would come here again as there was a good westerly wind blowing onshore and thought it might stir it up nicely for some repeat good bass fishing. we arrived at 10, high water at 12.45 it was bloody cold down there for this time of year and the tide came pretty high up the wall, even swamp...
